What is The Stage?
Well, you might say we’re a number of things at once.
A coming together of veteran Austin performers, producers and directors, The Stage is the city’s newest live theater organization and acting company. Beginning in 2019, we’ll be proudly producing full seasons of professional theater, including a dynamic mix of dramas, musicals, original works, American classics, Shakespeare and more.
The Stage is a concept. It’s a concept sincerely rooted in a shared desire to promote our local theater community, compensate performers and crew for their creative efforts and offer some much-needed relief to the dwindling availability of Austin theater space.
